The University of Southampton’s special Arts and Humanities Day is tomorrow Saturday 9th November 2024, from 10:30 to 16:30!

This is part of the University’s Arts and Humanities Festival which ends on 16th November 2024.
The Arts and Humanities Day (formerly known as Hands-on Humanities Day) is the University of Southampton’s family-friendly event offering an exciting programme of free interactive activities, workshops, talks, exhibitions, and live performances, suitable for all ages. From vibrant explorations into Cumbia dance and music, to adventuring through immersive virtual reality experiences, and constructing roman mosaic LEGO, there really is something for everyone to explore.
What’s new this year?
In addition to a new name and brand new look, they will be joined by researchers, students, community groups and artists at their new location in the Southampton Cultural Quarter. There will be over 40 activities taking place between Sir James Matthews Building, John Hansard Gallery, MAST Mayflower Studios and Southampton City Art Gallery. They are also expanding their programme in collaboration with the Southampton ESRC Festival of Social Science, adding social science-focused activities, exhibitions, and talks.
Attendance for the day is free, but registration through Eventbrite is required. To see their programme of events and book, visit: https://www.southamptonartshumfest.co.uk/
