Incidents reported re the Anti-Immigrant protest on Friday 1 August 2025

A HRA member was concerned “that Ceno served anti-immigration protesters alcohol before, during and after the protests the last couple of weeks. From the videos I’ve seen online, there were protesters on the roof of the hotel shouting religious slurs as well as swearing and drinking out of glass containers on the footpath. I don’t feel that they showed regard for our community while serving alcohol while this behaviour was ongoing……. I’m not sure that it would be within the terms of a licence to fuel already heightened behaviour with alcohol?”
