28/04/25: Southampton Police on Facebook: Officers from the Southampton North Team have been conducting patrols on The Common and addressing issues of anti-social behaviour on Portswood High Street

Officers from the Southampton North Team—comprising Portswood and Bitterne North—have been out and about throughout the day, engaging with the community. This included a beat surgery held at Southampton University, patrols in Southampton Common and Riverside Park, and addressing issues of anti-social behaviour on Portswood High Street.

Thank you to those who spoke with officers during their travels and shared your thoughts with us—it was very insightful. We also would like to give you some updates on actions taken. Officers approached an individual and conducted a search, resulting in an arrest for possession of a controlled substance. Additionally, we spoke with members of the community on the High Street regarding anti-social behaviour and asked them to move on.
