Consultation Public Spaces Protection Order 

A reminder that the SCC Consultation on the re-implementation of the lapsed Public Spaces Protection Orders across the City closes on 11 July.  This is particularly important for Portswood Broadway as it provides controls on street drinking for a further three years, with additional proposed measures to curb aggressive begging and drug misuse.  Should the new order be imposed, at the HRA Committee Meeting on Tuesday 1 July, the importance of enforcement and consistency of approach between the police and Community Safety in imposing the order had been highlighted as appropriate comments.
