To report hazardous waste and anything that does not fall within the police remit but might have links to crime or anti-social behaviour – needles, sharps, broken glass, spillages, fly tipping, car parking, dog fouling, dead animals or other dangerous items you have seen on a road, pavement or public spaces:

4. To report a Noise / ‘Nuisance’

If you can, it might be useful to approach the ‘nuisance’ directly in the first instance either through direct conversation, if possible, or a polite note through the door explaining your situation if you do not know the person concerned.

Note: If the noise nuisance is from an HMO, as HMOs are Licensed, you could also contact the HMO Licencing Team at Southampton City Council (see item 7 below).

5. To report an environmental or other related issue

Then select from the list which includes flying tipping, a blocked drain, street cleaning, trees hedges & leaves, pest control and other environmental issues.
