“Hampshire police statement in full:
We were called just after 6am this morning to a report of a break-in at an address in Highfield Lane, where two men were assaulted. The two injured males, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital for treatment.
A 49-year-old man and 25-year-old man, both from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
They remain in custody at this time.
