HRA Member verbally abused at London Road bus stop recently

A member reported that he was standing at a bus stop at the bottom end of London Road one morning recently, and a man in fairly poor clothing approached him asking to ‘high five’ him. When the member demurred, the man verbally abused him. The member stood his ground and the man wandered off. He was not visibly drunk or drugged. An elderly woman witnessed this but if the man had turned violent, the member would have been on his own. This was in broad daylight.
