Possible attempted break-in: Crofton Close

A man was found lying behind the side gate of a house in Crofton Close on the afternoon of Tuesday 12 May. He might have fallen while climbing over. He had a head injury and was unresponsive. An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital. The ambulance crew reported the injury to the police. Two police officers arrived and they spoke to the victim and near neighbours and checked if there was any CCTV available. A sledge hammer found by the victim’s front gate was discovered to have been taken from a neighbour’s garage. The police warned that the man could have been scouting the area, so neighbours should keep their doors and windows locked.
