“Good morning,
I hope you are all well.
I wanted to make you aware that there is a planned protest tomorrow from 1800 hours outside the Highfield House Hotel. Intelligence suggests that a counter-protest may also be present.
Although the event is being organised by the Southampton Patriots, the organiser is different from those involved in previous protests outside the Highfield House Hotel. I have spoken with the new organiser several times this week and he has consistently stated that his intention is for the protest to remain peaceful and respectful.
The organiser has agreed that the demonstration will remain static and no procession will take place following the protest. I have also requested that any use of PA systems or megaphones is kept to a respectful level.
While attendee numbers remain unknown, our intelligence does not currently indicate that the event has gained significant traction.
Local resources have been allocated to facilitate and monitor the demonstration, supporting individuals’ right to engage in lawful protest whilst ensuring that the event remains peaceful, proportionate, and lawful.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and maintain engagement with organisers, attendees, and community representatives throughout the event.
If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Yozanne
A/Inspector 21260 Yozanne Richards

Portswood Police Station”
