These patrols have a focus on indecent exposure and offences of violence or of a sexual nature against women.
But as officers, they are always keeping an eye out for any offences, and that’s what happened yesterday on the Common.
After stopping a man for a search, a knife was located in one of his pockets.
Having arrested him, we have now charged Jaspreet Khunkhun, 24, of Linacre Road, Southampton, with possession of a knife blade in a public place and possession of a class B drug.
He was remanded in custody and taken to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (April 22).”
