Theft of purse and phone while victim was advised to see scratched front of car – car park, Sainsbury’s Portswood

A word of warning to anyone in or parking in Sainsbury’s, Portswood. The victim was loading their shopping into the boot of their car on the evening of Saturday 23 November 2024, when a man said that he had just seen their car being scratched at the front. They left their shopping trolley and went to look. It had been scratched. When they returned to continue unloading, they realised that their purse and phone had been stolen from their handbag.

Not sure whether reported to the police or not.
