Two reports from HRA Members week of Monday 27 October 2025: handbag stolen in town; and University student “moving parties”
Posted by Highfield Residents' Association on Nov 1, 2025 in Crime Incidents | 0 commentsThere have been two of crime/ASB incident reports during week beginning Monday 27 October 2025 from HRA Members:
1. A member had their handbag stolen in town with keys, cards, cash, driving licence and everything else taken. Reported to the police.
2.Frequent University students “moving parties” have taken place for the last few weeks in Blenheim Gardens, Upper Shaftesbury Avenue, Welbeck Avenue, Highfield Crescent and other areas. A crowd of 50 or so students will proceed along the pavement towards a house, chanting and shouting etc. They spend about half an hour in the back garden before heading off to the next house, and the next, and the next etc. This has been happening several nights a week for weeks; they are noisy and it is having a cumulative effect.
Suggested:
