A message from Councillor Savage: Portswood Councillors have been active during the mornings and afternoons, reminding parents and family, to park safely away from Highfield School entrances on Hawthorn Rd and Roselands Gardens, during drop off and pick up times

  Staff and pupils at the school, along with many parents, are particularly concerned about street safety at the school and school children have helped to design banners outside the school gates to remind everyone. Plans to turn Portswood hardware shop into Pepe’s Peri Peri

Plans to convert a hardware shop into a takeaway restaurant have been approved – despite objections from a charity Mencap which supports Southampton’s learning disability community and Portswood Ward Councillors. The University of Southampton multi-million-pound leisure centre will welcome members for the first time this month

Paralympian and University of Southampton alumni Adam Knott will visit the centre for a plaque unveiling ceremony on September 18. The Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre will be available to the public as well as students.
