An update on the Portswood Broadway Bus-gate Project (Sept/Oct 2024)

The trial Bus-gate project is due to begin in early 2025 with Portswood Broadway closed to through car traffic between 7-10am and 4-7pm Monday to Saturday, between the traffic lights on Highfield Lane and Westridge Road. Unilink Bus Routes to central station from Highfield

Several HRA members remain concerned that the Unilink 1 bus no longer stops at Central Station. Replacement bus routes (U2 and U6) do not seem to offer the same frequency or coverage across Highfield as the U1.
