Friends of Southampton Old Cemetery are celebrating the 180th Anniversary of the opening of the Old Cemetery on 10 May 2026, and are seeking volunteers to assist with the event!

A reminder about the Community Objection Walk tomorrow Wednesday 21 January at 1pm, opposing the University’s plans to build 400+ student accommodation rooms in large blocks on the green space and car park surrounding the teaching blocks at the Avenue Campus.

Meet at the Avenue Campus at 1pm and then walk to Building 37 at the University (opposite the Jubilee Sports Complex) which is the George Thomas Administrative Centre.
