Thursday 20 February 2025: Portswood Broadway is closed southbound into the City between the junctions with Westridge Road and Brookvale Road because of an emergency water leak

The closure affects traffic heading towards the City only. There is a diversion for Southbound traffic, as requested by SCC Highways, via Saint Denys Road, Thomas Lewis Way and Lodge Road. Dangerous driving; driver overtook stationery traffic queue at lights and drove the wrong way round the traffic island opposite Ceno – Highfield Lane

Occurred outside Portswood Broadway Bus-gate times: At 8.30am on Friday 13 February 2025, a man in a large white car was spotted driving down Highfield Lane towards the Sainsbury’s Portswood traffic lights, then he overtook the stationery queue for the lights, drove the wrong way around the traffic island opposite Ceno’s and joined the right-hand lane to turn onto Portswood Broadway....
